The Progress note in the software is a universal document available to all disciplines in their respective chart sections (SW,SC, RN, and CNA) including one under the MISC tab for non credentialed employees to use.
The Progress Note can be used for a variety of "purposes", which includes:
Documenting Visits, Phone Calls, Care Plan Conferences, Care Plan Updates, Admission Narratives, and IDG Narratives for active patients in preparation for IDG.
Use Cases:
- If a Visit is selected this counts towards the discipline's frequency , and filters into Timekeeper and billing for claims.
- If Phone Call is selected this does not count towards a billable visit , Medicare regulations require in person interactions.
- Exception: If Care Plan Conference is selected this is recognized as a billable visit, in association to the Social Worker discipline (only).
- If Care Plan Update is selected this is meant to document any changes to the overall care plan.
- If IDG Narrative is selected the narrative completed by the employee with be linked to the patient's IDG documentation, allowing a smoother patient review during IDG.
